What is personal about it?
There's something about the organized chaos of a home kitchen. Family, friends, pets, and the occasional power outage. The obstacles that I come across are nothing but enjoyable and always end in a rewarding experience. (Did you know that some ovens have a Sabbath setting that if it gets played with will turn off for a day?)
Conversations with family members about life stories, quick chats with their guests about where they're from, and all the while doing what I do makes the time fly. Learning food preferences, dislikes, and allergies to any and all family members and guests is actually a passion I have and pay very close attention to it. It's rewarding to make people happy.
